The Reliability Green Belt® provides a methodical approach to reliability development necessary to meet the complex challenges of today’s systems.

Training Procedure and Goal
The Reliability Green Belt® comprises the first of three modules in the qualification as a Reliability Engineer. It is highly relevant to engineers, specialists and managers in other product development and manufacturing roles.
In this module, the most important qualitative and quantitative methods of reliability engineering are covered. The Reliability Green Belt training is deliberately structured to teach the participant when, how and why the individual methods can be applied in the product development process.
The Certified Reliability Green Belt® will be able to implement core reliability tools in the company organization.

The training will end in all cases with a certificate of participation. Furthermore, participants may elect to take a written examination for a certified Reliability Green Belt® at the end of the course. The certificate will be awarded by the University of Stuttgart and the Institute of Machine Components. The examination is in multiple choice form.

5-day training:
Monday from 09:00 a.m. to 05:30 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday from 08:15 a.m. to 05:30 p.m. Friday from 08:15 a.m. to 01:30 p.m.

Examination:
Friday from 01:30 p.m. to 03:30 p.m.

Reliability Black Belt

Training Procedure and Goal
The Reliability Black Belt® comprises the second module in the qualification as a Reliability Engineer. This module builds upon the structure provided by the Reliability Green Belt®. The Reliability Black Belt® adds specialized tools from the fields of Reliability Management, Root Cause Analysis, Design of Experiments, Durability Modeling, RAM/LCC and Software Quality; that allow development of greater understanding and improved decision-making.
The goal of this module is to train specialists who can independently solve complex problems and work on challenging issues in your organization. The Reliability Black Belt® is thus also able to professionally handle organizational and project-specific interfaces (e.g. Production, Sales and Purchasing).

Reliability Master Black Belt

Target Group
Engineers, technicians, specialists, managers and executives from the areas of development, testing, design, research, production and quality assurance who wish to take their reliability engineering skills to the highest level.

About The Topic
Effective reliability engineering is about knowledge engineering: knowing why you do what you do, knowing that you do it well, and always learning how to do it better. The Reliability Master Black Belt® mentors the participant through application of reliability engineering in real development; using the tools learned in the Reliability Green and Black Belts, gaining knowledge through context, and finding new tools as required.

Training Procedure and Goal
The Reliability Master Black Belt® is the highest level of the certified reliability engineer education program. The education is a Training-on-the-job. Contents from the Reliability Green Belt® and the Reliability Black Belt® education and also other disciplines of reliability engineering shall be applied to the participant’s own projects. The participants are mentored to apply reliability methods, to investigate and solve reliability problems, and to facilitate reliability engineering in their companies. Participants receive individual mentoring by the reliability experts of the Reliability Engineering Academy. This provides the necessary professional support and assures the quality and success of the Reliability Master Black Belt® education.

Content
In this practical module the participants prove their capabilities by means of projects from their own practical environment. The participant is coached by an expert from the Reliability Engineering Academy. The projects are evaluated according to a defined scorecard which considers the professional depth. The education is finished by final report (confidentiality is assured) documenting the applied methods, computations and the project results.

Examination / Certification
The education is finished by a final project report. The coach evaluates the projects and their professional depth. Finally the Reliability Master Black Belt® certificate is issued by the University of Stuttgart and the Institute of Machine Components.

Training Duration
The Reliability Master Black Belt® education must be finished within 1,5 years.

Scope of Services
Individual coaching accompanying your projects provided by reliability experts of the Reliability Engineering Academy.
